Many Iraqi citizens are less sure about the future of their country… Mariam Khazim of Sadr City claims, “The Americans are leaving behind them a destroyed country… [they] did not leave modern schools or big factories …instead, they left thousands of widows and orphans.”
It is unsure exactly how Iraqi’s were killed, but some estimates are as high as 100,000. The United States and Britain launched their attacks against Saddam Hussein on March 20, 2003 in an effort to find Weapons of Mass Destruction. Lincoln claiming that combat operations in Iraq were at an end. In December of that year Saddam Hussein was captured and he would eventually be hanged three years later.
According the President Obama, all troops should be out of Iraq by the end of the month.
