Each of us will remember something different about the year that was 2013, and I invite you to discuss what helped to shape your own 2013. My year included a few trips to Spain, the completion of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, an amazing student tour of Italy made even more amazing by a group of kids I absolutely love, a few World Series games, and of course a promise to name my first child... Fenway.
The end of the year also ushers in the start of a new year. The New Year offers all of us something everyone deserves... a second chance. We can start anew, make positive changes in our lives, apologize to someone or accept an apology, maybe resolve to lose some weight or study more... for some of you maybe it's study less and find some time to relax... New Year's Resolutions are not our inventions as the Babylonians, Romans, and Medieval Christians all made promises, took oaths, or prayed to the Gods for luck or change in the New Year.
But whatever you resolve to do, remember it's in your hands... success begins with ownership and responsibility, whatever you do, say, or tweet is on you...
Happy New Year and see you in 2014!
