These are not protests, this is nonsense. I understand completely why people would be angry with the situation regarding Freddie Gray, however destroying their city is not justice at all. Discrimination is one of the biggest issues this country has for sure, especially after Michael Brown and Freddie Gray and it is ignorant for any politician to say otherwise. However, rioting is not a solution. People in office, that have authority need to step up and fix the issue. I know it is easier said than done but attempting to fix it is better than saying discrimination is not an issue. These boys and girls running around destroying CVSs and burning down buildings aren't doing anything besides angering more people. Two wrongs don't make a right and in this case, is making it severely worse. They should have the right to be angry but this is going way too far.

These "protests" are completely inappropriate and do not solve anything. This comete anarchy is useless and does not help the cause of whatever they think they are fighting for. If this was a noble fight, people would not be using such horrible language or trying to hurt people. This insanity is just disgusting and does nothing for Freddie Gray. I hate to say it, but what these people are doing is only enhancing the belief in the stereotype that black people are more likely to do things like this even though that is untrue. What they are fighting against is the injustice of treatment but here they are just being jerks for no reason at all and using Gray as an excuse to go wild. There are so many better ways to handle this and this is just completely wrong. Plus I hope they pick up that trash because littering is bad for the environment and humans are selfish and forget that they are in no control of the planet they live on.

These are not protests, these are riots. The rioters have nothing to stand for but chaos and greed. They are using the situation of Freddie Gray to go wild and now Baltimore as a city will be set back by years. Money that was saved for school systems and infrastructure will now have to go towards rebuilding the city. Not to mention the riots are overshadowing the actual protests going on that are being conducted in a respectful manner while also working for the cause. Politicians need to get off their butts and instead of debating issues where they take away more rights from the people should work on fixing the discrimination still heavily present in America.

These people took advantage of Freddie Gray's tragic death. The violence and damage they inflected across Baltimore does not help with anything, it only makes these tough times worse. These rioters were committing mindless actions, where their behavior had no beneficial or intelligent effects. It is a real shame that they chose to act this way, because not only has a majority of the media been focused on their negativity instead of the protests for justice for Freddie Gray, but Freddie Gray's death will forever be linked to these riots when it shouldn't be. These riots took away to the correct kind of attention Freddie Gray's case needed, and instead it added a false stigma to his name. There is no excuse for why these rioters acted the way they did. They did more harm than good. Buildings and sidewalks have been destroyed, and there is trash everywhere. They wrecked themselves and their city.

The "protests" are more like riots. They are using the tragic death of Freddie Gray to their advantage. They think that they will be able to get away with whatever they want to. What they are doing has no effective outcome in the sense that all they are doing is destroying their city. Not only are they doing this, but they will also probably get in trouble for doing so. These riots might also cause the actual peaceful protests to be taken less seriously because they'll think that many are seeking violence and destruction. What they are doing does not accomplish anything at all. They are also throwing trash everywhere, so they'll have to clean that up. Overall, what they are doing doesn't accomplish anything whatsoever and there are so many other effective ways they could've approached the situation.

I find that what these "protesters" are doing is nothing more than them acting out and rebelling violently for reasons that they don't fully understand themselves. To them, this is just a reason/ way to go against the law and destroy things. By acting like this, not only are they disrespecting what the peaceful protesters are doing, but also the memory of the ones that have died due to the racial conflict. I find that what they are doing is nothing more than a childish act of rebellion against the police and do not understand the deeper meaning behind these protests.

Protesting something that you strongly believe in is allowed in this country. it is one of our rights and with it comes commonsense. This means that rioting is not part of that right. rioting and protesting are two completely different things. Protesting is ment to be non violent and have people state their opinions. rioting harms people and accomplishes nothing. Having people break into stores, hurt other people, and destroy the city makes the people as a whole look bad. weather or not the police officers did take Freddie Gray on a rough ride, the riots should have never happened.

I strongly agree that these people are not protesting at all, they are just taking advantage of the system in order to cause havoc for a short period in their time. Eventually, they will all get what is coming to them and many will get arrested as a result of this because they are all being filmed on a daily basis. People need to really think about their actions first because they are just acting on impulse and aren't really thinking about the potential consequences of these destructive riots. It isn't really going to help their cause by destroying everything in the city and looting these areas. Rioting will not solve the problem or help the family of Freddie Gray, it will just make things worse than it already is in this country. Comments are closed.
