The historical and political debate concerning the intent of a few men over two centuries ago aside for the moment, there are some in our society going a little bit too far with their over the top rhetoric.
In response to a law which would require health insurance providers (including those of religious organizations) to cover birth control and contraception, political commentator Rush Limbaugh created a firestorm on his radio show.
After Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke expressed her opinion that women should be included on the congressional panel on birth control and that she agreed with the president ’s proposed law, Rush Limbaugh labeled her to be a “slut”, and went on to give what he claims was intended to be a humorous metaphor and a facetious quid-pro-quo .
Since his comments, Rush Limbaugh has lost 7 major advertisers from his show, and his network is considering pulling the long time radio personality off the air. Even the conservative candidates currently running for the Republican nomination called Limbaugh’s comments inappropriate and unproductive.

Conservative or liberal – republican or democrat – Pro Life or Pro Choice – lets disagree in the most productive ways possible…
