Alabama has a long history of being slow to change, most notably in the 1960's as the state fought against the ending of segregation when its then Governor George Wallace proclaimed, "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever."
This summer the United States Supreme Court will once and for all tackle the issue of Same Sex Marriage with many experts believing the Court will claim all bans against same sex marriage unconstitutional.
The states which same sex marriage is still not allowed are:
Arkansas
Georgia, Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri
North Dakota
Ohio
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Nebraska
